Our thailand trips at CHIANG MAI ENP
Don't be alarm if this entry is the same from my blog entry, i copy over here from it... =pDay 1, flew to bangkok at ard 740 am... then transit flight to chiang mai.
reached there at ard noon.
brad, mammoth... our person in charge came to fetch us with the driver.
he wore a shade, very muscular...
ha then we went to the office to take the volunteer shirt before heading to the park.
first day, we just roam ard the park... explore it. as brad show us our room, and the place there.
if i'm not wrong, have electricity problem that day.
we hav a thai blessing ceremony that night. strange dogs howling...
there's a lot of dogs.
day 2
morning we did volunteer work. morning chorus = corn plant cutting. woo~ tedious 3 hours.
we have to chop down the plant, and carried it out to the pavement... gt a lots of cuts. and a cut on my face. ouch.
aft morning chorus, mammoth brought us ard the park, to the nature area and a much closer view to the elephants.
every day we will go some filmming. during our free time.
have discussion at night. and tranferring of footages to harddisk.
lunch time is at 12pm = 1 pm in singapore
dinner is 6.30 = 7.30 singapore time
every meal is like a mountain, with 6-8 dishes. as it's buffet.
there's blackout on day 2.. we walked in the dark back to out HUT.
at first we gals wanna bath, when we are in the toilet we found out there's no WATER too...
but aft yvonne rushed the toilet, the electricty came back. there's light n water.
we cheer like mad. haha damn hilarious.
like some pity gals hoping for water n light and the wishes is granted. ha
Day 3... Morning we clear elephant's poo... and
afternoon work, we did trans-planting. by loading the seedling onto the lorry and unload them.
i and xiang filled up the enitre lorry, woo...
at night we learn the elephant song in THAI.

Day 4 Morning, we cleaned the buffalo shed...
clear the poo and wash the shed.
aft tat, wes's grp went to neighboring Thai sch, to teach the student.
while xiang's grp walked ard the park for film ming.
Managed to get a few nice shots, JAcen climbed onto the tree. like a real mahout haha...Actually we are going to elephant heaven today, but due to the wet weather,
it is dangerous for us to travel up the hill.
so it was cancelled. =(
2pm, our afternoon job is to peel corn. Aft which filmming again.
Day 5
Washed basket, and do planting / carried piles of plant down the slope.
Gt lots of cut... OUCH.
Noon, went to elephant camp to see some performance.
It totally turned us down, knowing that the elephant suffered severely behind those performance trick.

oh ya. i gt snap by an elephant's ear, and it's mahout laughed at me! $#%^^*$%%$@
Day 6 (sat)
Yvonne is not feeling well today, so she chose to stay in out hut.
There was a very loud thunder storm one day, i can't remember when, and it's pouring very heavily.

morning, girls clean the cat house.
guys clean the buffalo shed.
dinner is great tonight, TRADITIONAL NORTHERN THAILAND dishes.
then we have the performances by the mahout. at night, we found out that, some of the footages went missing.
we transfered footages till quite late 2 am...
Day 7
It should be a "off-day" for all volunteer on Sun.
and morning work you guess what?
we were asked to go and cut plants! damn it.. that beachhhh again.. i know it's wrong speellling.. purposely.
even mammoth agreed with us.
argh.
during the elephant bathing time, we finally went to play in the water, and i bath the elephant.
current is very strong. i could hardly stand!
syafiq no.2... we still that he resemble of syafiq haha.
tat's johnny... i miss him!
at night aft dinner, we played math scrabble.
i and yvonne beat the 3 guyz =x loser haha.
then me, xiang and mark went for some thai massage.
Day 8 (1 sep)
The last day at nature park =(( kind of sad.
we are say to be free. since it's our last day. no work aft morning chorus.
brad bought us up the hill to explore and look ard...
walked for abt 1.5 hours...
the hill is very steep, and i'm wearin slipper, in the end i hav to climb barefoot.
but mammoth exchange slipper with me.
aft noon, we do some filmming.
and hav another interview with Lek due to the fault.
the lighting at that point of timeis very good for filmming. THe colour is very nice!
then ard 3 plus, we hav to rushed back to pack our stuff as we leaving at 5pm.
took quite a lot of pics with the people there. yup.
the tour guide, the kitchen people, mai - the video grapher, some of the mahout.
just dun wish to early so soon at that time.
at 5pm... we are on our way to chiang mai with brad.
he brought us out for dinner, and hav some shopping as we are leaving tml morning.
we will miss him. yup.
back to hotel, wanna see some of my teammate slping style? haha
the next thing you know, we are heading to the airport the next day.
and wroof... we are in SINGAPORE. yaawnss...
